Introduction:

Cheyenne County Village is seeking an experienced, dependable Full-Time Maintenance Worker to assist with building and grounds maintenance in a resident-centered, team-focused environment. 

Responsibilities may include:

• Preventative maintenance tasks and documentation
• Repairs, building updates including painting, and furniture moving
• HVAC filter changes
• Floor care
• Lawn care, landscaping, pruning, and snow removal
• Running emergency response drills such as fire, tornado, power outages, aggressive intruder and responding to emergency situations
• Additional projects as assigned

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, dependable, flexible, follows safety practices, and able to work independently indoors and outdoors. Full-time hours with some variability depending on maintenance needs and seasonal requirements.

General maintenance experience preferred. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
• Assist with medication management and administration, as directed by a healthcare professional
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the appropriate staff member
• Communicate with patients and families to provide education and support
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and cleaning
• Other duties as assigned

Our CNA's care for our 30 elders in our small home, participate in their daily activities and care for those that spent their lives caring for us!

While working under the direction of the Charge Nurse, the CNA will: 

Assist elders with getting in and out of bed 

Assist elders with personal and oral hygiene

Perform basic movement exercises 

Serve meals and assist elders with eating 

Monitor food, water, and medication intake 

Take and report vital statistics 

Monitor and report any behavior, health, or vital statistic changes 

Offer compassion to elders and loved ones 

Requirements and Skills:

Proven work experience as a CNA.

Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills

Compassionate with sound judgment and problem-solving

Ability to handle stress

Relevant training and/or certifications as a CNA
